Touchscreen - Rear Display (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Move the LH and RH front seats fully forward.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  5. Remove the center console armrest cap. See Center Console - Armrest Cap Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the top decor. See Center Console - Top Decor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the center console ariwave cap. See Center Console - Console, Airwave, Airwave Cap (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the screws (x8) that attach the rear display and airwave assembly to the center console, and then pull the assembly rearward to release it from the center console.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Pulling the assembly rearward releases the clips (x2).
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

  9. Remove the screw that attaches the rear display and airwave assembly to the center console.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x5), release the harness clips (x2), and then remove the rear display and airwave assembly from the center console.

    Manipulate the assembly as needed for access to the connectors and clips.
  11. Remove the screws (x4) that attach the rear display to the airwave assembly, and then remove the center display from the assembly.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the rear display to the airwave assembly, and then install the screws (x4) that attach the center display to the assembly.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  2. Position the rear display and airwave assembly to the center console, and then connect the electrical connectors (x5) and secure the harness clips (x2).

    Note
    Manipulate the assembly as needed for access to the connectors and clips.
  3. Install the screw that attaches the rear display and airwave assembly to the center console.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  4. Position the rear display and airwave assembly to the center console, push the assembly forward to secure the clips (x2), and then install the screws (x8) that attach the assembly to the center console.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

  5. Install the center console ariwave cap. See Center Console - Console, Airwave, Airwave Cap (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the top decor. See Center Console - Top Decor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the center console armrest cap. See Center Console - Armrest Cap Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  9. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  10. Restore the LH and RH front seats back to their original position.
  11. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
