Remove

  1. Remove the armrest closeout. See 2nd Row Seat Back Hardware - 2R Seat Armrest Closeout (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) and release the harness clips (x2) that attach the 2nd row armrest assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the assembly from the seat frame.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Remove the bolts, and then lay the armrest down to access the harness clips.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) and release the clips (x2) and cable stay that attach the armrest latch to the armrest assembly, and then remove the latch from the assembly.
    17 Nm (12.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Actuate the latch as needed with the pull tether to release.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 mm hex
  4. Remove the fasteners (x4) that attach the mounting bracket to the 2nd row armrest, and then remove the bracket from the armrest.

    Note
    Remove the RH T50 bolt, and then align the 8mm hex bolt with the rounded opening in bracket to remove.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
    • 8 mm hex
    • 13 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the mounting bracket onto the 2nd row armrest, and then install the fasteners (x4) that attach the bracket to the armrest.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Install the 8 mm hex bolt aligned with the rounded opening on the bracket, and then install the RH T50 bolt.

    All the fasteners are torqued to 25 Nm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
    • 8 mm hex
    • 13 mm socket
  2. Position the armrest latch to the armrest assembly, and then install the bolts (x2) and secure the clips (x2) and cable stay that attach the latch to the assembly.
    17 Nm (12.5 lbs-ft)

    Actuate the latch as needed with the pull tether to engage.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 mm hex
  3. Position the 2nd row armrest assembly into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) and harness clips (x2) that attach the assembly to the seat frame.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    Secure the harness clips, and then pivot the armrest upwards into position before installing bolts.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
