Striker - Tailgate (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the tailgate.
  2. Release spring clip, and then release the LH cable strap from the body.

    Note
    Pull the spring back then slide up to release.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH tailgate striker to the vehicle, and then remove the striker from the vehicle.
    28 Nm (20.6 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T45 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH tailgate striker to the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the striker to the vehicle.
    28 Nm (20.6 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T45 socket
  2. Secure the LH tailgate cable strap to body.

    Align to the mounting boss, and then slide down to engage spring clip.
  3. Close the tailgate.
