Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Lower Assembly (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
- Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- Remove the mid instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the screws (x4) that attach the
lower instrument panel to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that attach the lower instrument panel to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Release the panel clips (x15) and push clip that attach the lower instrument panel to
the vehicle, and then release the panel from the IP.
CAUTIONAvoid tearing the blue tape that holds the harness slack at the RH side of the lower IP panel. The tape must be in place to protect the harness from contact with the glove box mechanism.CAUTIONDo not release the panel too far from the IP as there are connectors (x4) still connected.

Disconnect the electrical connectors
(x4), and then remove the lower instrument panel from the vehicle.
NoteRelease the connector locks before disconnecting the connectors.
Install

Position the lower instrument panel
into the vehicle, and then connect the electrical connectors (x4) and engage the
connector locks.

Secure the panel clips (x15) and push clip that attach the lower instrument panel to
the vehicle.
CAUTIONAvoid tearing the blue tape that holds the harness slack at the RH side of the lower IP panel. The tape must be in place to protect the harness from contact with the glove box mechanism. Replace the blue tape if damaged.

Install the screws (x4) that attach the lower instrument panel to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket

Install new bolts (x4) that attach the lower instrument panel to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the mid instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
- Repeat steps 8 and 9 for the LH side of the vehicle.
- Raise the front windows and close the front doors.
