Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.

Remove

  1. Open all four doors
  2. Lower all four windows
  3. Manually latch all doors to prevent lockout

    Engage latch with screwdriver
  4. Enter Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  5. Raise and move LH front seat forward
  6. Move RH front seat forward
  7. Disconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  8. Close LH and RH visors and retract LH and RH windshield shade assemblies
  9. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seatback shoulder covers. See Shoulder Cover - LH - 2nd Row Seat (Remove and Install).
  10. Remove the rear vehicle controller. See Body Controller - Rear (Remove and Install).
  11. Release all connections from charge port ecu

  13. Release 2nd row center retractor from 2nd LH row buckle

  14. Remove bolts securing 2nd row seat back onto the back wall

  15. Remove bolts securing lower 2nd row full seat assembly onto the back wall

  16. Remove bolts securing LH and center/RH 2nd row buckle onto 2nd row seat assembly

  5. Install bolts securing 2nd row seat assembly onto vehicle structural frame

  6. Install the rear vehicle controller. See Body Controller - Rear (Remove and Install).
  7. Install bolts securing LH and center/RH 2nd row buckle onto 2nd row seat assembly

  8. Install bolts securing lower 2nd row full seat assembly onto the back wall

  10. Secure 2nd row center retractor onto 2nd LH row buckle

    Push red release mechanism to release retractor
  11. Install charge port ECU

    1x bolt, 10 mm, 5 Nm, 2x tabs, Align charge port ecu into cavity for installation
  12. Secure all connections to charge port ecu connectors

  13. Reinstall all components that were removed for access. See Shoulder Cover - LH - 2nd Row Seat (Remove and Install).
  14. Connect mid-voltage power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  15. Move RH front seat to original position
  16. Lower and move LH front seat to original position
  17. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  18. Raise all four windows.
  19. Close all four doors.
