Set Handwheel Zero

Procedure

  1. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  2. Unlock the vehicle Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  3. On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Service Mode > Chassis > Alignment & Tires.
  4. Touch PROC_X_SBW-START-HOLDvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode Plus: Chassis ➜ Alignment & Tires ➜ Hold Handwheel, and then select node: psfa timer 10 sec.
  5. Touch Run, and while the routine is running, check the top of the steering wheel alignment in relation to the light bar.
    • If the top of the steering wheel is parallel to the light bar, the steering wheel does not require zero calibration. Skip to step 7.
    • If the steering wheel is not parallel to the light bar, the steering wheel requires calibration. Continue to the next step.

    The steering wheel will move to the current zero calibration. After the timer ends, the steering wheel will return to the original position.

    If needed, use PROC_X_SBW-STOP-HOLDvia Toolbox: (link) > node: psfa to cancel the routine.
  6. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Set Handwheel Zero, touch Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  7. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
