valve block to the air suspension reservoir, and then release the clip and remove the
zip tie.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
NoteCut the zip tie at the reservoir/ancillary air line bundle.NoteRelease the harness clip at the bracket. -
Release the rubber grommets (x3), and
then release the air suspension valve block from the bracket.
NoteRotate clockwise until the top 2 rubber feet have released from the bracket. Pull upwards at a 45 degree angle to release the bottom rubber foot from the bracket.NoteLeave all air lines and connections secured, and then set the assembly aside.
-
Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the
air suspension reservoir to the body, and then release the fir tree clips (x2).Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
-
Put the air suspension reservoir in
service position.
NoteRaise and swing the air suspension reservoir to the side of the bed.
- Remove the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
-
Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
rear toe link to the rear steering actuator. Repeat this step for the RH side of the
vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm combination wrench
-
Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the LH rear toe link to the LH rear knuckle, and then remove the toe link from
the vehicle. Repeat this step for the RH side of the vehicle.NoteCounter hold the ball joint while removing the nut.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- Partially lower vehicle.
-
Release the connector lock and
disconnect the rear steering actuator electrical connector, and then release harness
clip.
NotePlace the harness aside for access.
-
Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
RH side of rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
-
Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
-
Remove the rear steering actuator from
the vehicle.
NoteRotate the rear steering actuator onto its side, and then pivot to the LH side to release the actuator out from the rear subframe.CAUTIONUse caution when removing the rear steering actuator from the rear subframe. Avoid damaging any HV cable, body harness, or ride height sensor.
Install
-
Position the rear steering actuator
into the vehicle for installation.
NoteRotate the rear steering actuator to its side. Insert the RH side of the steering actuator to position onto the rear subframe.CAUTIONUse caution when installing the rear steering actuator to rear subframe. Avoid damaging any HV cable, body harness, or ride height sensor.
-
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
-
Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
RH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
-
Connect the rear steering actuator
electrical connector and secure the connector lock, and then install the harness
clip.
- Install the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH and RH rear wheel caps. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
-
Put the air suspension reservoir into
position for installation.
-
Install the nuts (x2) that attach the
air suspension reservoir to the vehicle, and then install the fir tree clips (x2).Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
-
Secure the air suspension valve
block.
Notex3 rubber grommetsNoteRotate counterclockwise until the top 2 rubber feet are secured onto the bracket. Push downwards at a 45 degree angle to secure the bottom rubber foot into bracket.NotePosition air lines and connections into place for installation.
-
Install a new VOSS air fitting to the
Pressurize Pack valve block at the ANC circuit.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm socket
NoteDo not remove the VOSS plastic plug until the Pressurize Pack line install. -
Secure the Pressurize Pack air line
from the ancillary to the valve block.
NoteRemove the plastic cap from the VOSS fittings. Press the air lines into the fitting until the mark aligns with the top of the fitting. Verify the line is properly secured by performing a push-pull test.
-
Connect the electrical connector and
secure the connector lock, install the bolt that attaches the Pressurize Pack valve
block to the air suspension reservoir, and then install the clip and new zip tie.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
NoteSecure the air reservoir and ancillary air lines at the white marked sections. - Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
