Door Latch - Front - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front door closeout panel. See Closeout Panel - Front Door - LH (Remove and Install).
    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the window regulator from the closeout panel assembly.
  2. Disconnect the closure connector harness from the LH front door latch.
  3. Remove the bolts that attach the LH front door latch to the LH front door.
    13 Nm (9.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  4. Release the grommet, and the remove the LH front door latch from the door assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH front door latch into the door assembly, and secure the grommet.
    Note
    Use the tab on emergency release to guide the grommet.
  2. Install the bolts that attach the LH front door latch to the LH front door.
    13 Nm (9.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  3. Connect the closure connector harness from the LH front door latch.
  4. Install the LH front door closeout panel assembly. See Closeout Panel - Front Door - LH (Remove and Install).
