- Open the LH front door.
- Lower the LH front window.

Use the touchscreen to set the air suspension ride height to “Low".
NotePress and hold the brake pedal while performing this routine.
- Close the LH front door.
- Open the tonneau cover.
- Open the tailgate.
- Remove the tent from the packaging.

Prepare the L-track brackets (x3) and the R-track brackets (x3) for installation.
NoteThe L-track brackets are numbered L1-L3, and the R-track brackets are numbered R1-R3.NoteThe L1-L3 and R1-R3 track bracket number markings are displayed on the backside of the brackets to indicate proper installation positions on the LH and RH truck bed side walls. The track brackets are not interchangeable.

Position the R1-track bracket on the vehicle with the open side facing upward, and then partially loosen the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to the R-track enough to allow the locking collars (x2) to engage the R-track.
NoteDo not fully remove the bolts or locking collars from the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

- Torx T25 bit

Position the R1-track bracket locking collars (x2) inside the R-track, slide the bracket fully rearwards, and then tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to vehicle.NoteMake sure the bracket is positioned fully rearward before tightening bolts.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

- Torque Wrench 1/4in Dr Hexagon - 1060071-00-A

Position the R3-track bracket on the vehicle with the open side facing upward, and then partially loosen the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to the R-track enough to allow the locking collars (x2) to engage the R-track.

Position the R2-track bracket on the vehicle with the open side facing upward, and then partially loosen the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to the R-track enough to allow the locking collars (x2) to engage the R-track.
NoteDo not fully remove the bolts or locking collars from the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Position the R2-track bracket locking collars (x2) inside the R-track, and then slide the bracket forward or rearward as required until 17 fully exposed R-track holes are between the R2-track bracket and R3-track bracket, and 18 fully exposed R-track holes are between the R2-track bracket and R1-track bracket. Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the bracket to vehicle.NoteMake sure the R2-track bracket is positioned correctly between the R1-track bracket and R3-track bracket before tightening bolts.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Mini Ratchet Bit Set - 1450424-00-A
- Torque Wrench 1/4in Dr Hexagon - 1060071-00-A
- Torx T25 bit
- Torx T25 socket
- Repeat step 9 through step 14 for the L-track brackets (x3).

Make sure the spring loaded locks on the fishmouth brackets (x2) operate smoothly and full range of motion is easily actuated.
NoteAll original tonneau applique parts removed from the vehicle must be stored in the retrofit kit box and returned to the customer once the basecamp retrofit is complete.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the tonneau applique to the vehicle.
NotePlace the original bolts in the retrofit kit box.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Torx T30 socket

Release the tonneau applique locking clips (x2), firmly pull the applique rear edge upward to release the applique from the snapclips (x2), and then remove the applique from the vehicle.
CAUTIONPlace the applique on a protective surface to avoid any damage to the exterior of the applique.

Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the tonneau applique fishmouth brackets (x2) to the applique, and then remove the brackets from the applique. Clean the applique threads of any residual metallic debris once the brackets are removed from the applique.
NotePlace the original brackets in the retrofit kit box.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 2 in extension

Position the basecamp tonneau applique fishmouth brackets (x2) on the applique, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the brackets to the applique.NoteThe basecamp brackets are located in the retrofit kit box.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 2 in extension
- Mini Ratchet Bit Set - 1450424-00-A
- Torque Wrench 1/4in Dr Hexagon - 1060071-00-A
- Torx T30 socket

Measure and record the height of the original tonneau applique snapclips (x2), and then remove the snapclips from the vehicle.
NotePlace the original snapclips in the retrofit kit box.

Install the basecamp tonneau applique snapclips (x2) on the vehicle, and then adjust the basecamp snapclips to the height recorded for the original snapclips (x2).
NoteMake sure the snapclips are positioned with the clip opening facing inboard.NoteThe basecamp snapclips are located in the retrofit kit box.

Position the tonneau applique on the vehicle, align the applique with the basecamp snapclips (x2), and then push the applique downward to engage the spring loaded locks (x2) on the fishmouth brackets (x2) and the snapclips that attach the applique to the tonneau corner rails.
NoteMake sure the spring loaded locks on the fishmouth brackets are fully engaged and the snapclips secure the rear side of the applique to the vehicle.

Measure the gap between the tonneau slats and the tonneau applique across the LH, middle, and RH sections of the applique. The gap must be between 1.5 mm to 2 mm.

- Body Gap and Flush Tool - 1588903-00-A

Position the basecamp on the tailgate with the strap locks (x2) and logo facing rearward, and then lift the basecamp in the upright position with the strap locks and logo facing downward.

Install the basecamp on the vehicle.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the basecamp to the L2-track bracket and R2-track bracket.NoteAlign the L2-track bracket and R2-track bracket machined holes with the openings located at the lower rearward-facing corners of the basecamp.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flashlight LED
- Mini Ratchet Bit Set - 1450424-00-A
- Torque Wrench 1/4in Dr Hexagon - 1060071-00-A
- Torx T25 bit
- Torx T25 socket
- Close the tailgate.
- Close the tonneau cover.
- Raise the LH front window.
- Close the LH front door.
- Provide the retrofit kit box and the original tonneau applique hardware to the customer once the retrofit procedure is complete.
