Remove

  1. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  2. Remove the LH rear beltline assembly. See Beltline Assembly - Door Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH rear door trim to the door assembly.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
  4. Release the clips (x15) that attach the LH rear door trim to the door assembly, and then remove the door trim from the assembly.

Install

  1. If replacing the LH rear door panel or LH rear door assembly, inspect the new door panel and new door assembly for alignment pins (door panel) and alignment pin holes (door assembly).
    • If the door panel has guide pins and the door assembly does not have guide pin holes, continue to the next step to rework the door panel. Add Correction Code 1513091037 (or 1513091067 for the RH door rework).
    • If the door panel does not have guide pins and the door assembly has guide pin holes, continue to the next step to rework the door assembly. Add Correction Code 1513091037 (or 1513091067 for the RH door rework).
    • If the door panel has guide pins and the door assembly has guide pin holes, or if the door panel does not have guide pins and the door assembly does not have guide pin holes, skip to step 5.
  2. Use diagonal cutters to remove the guide pins (x5) highlighted in the image below. Skip to the next step if door panel rework is not required.
  3. Use IPA wipes to clean the surface area on the LH door assembly around the alignment pin holes (x5), and then install an NVH pad on each hole (x5). Skip to the next step if door assembly rework is not required.

    Note
    Allow 1 min for the IPA to dry.
  4. Position the LH rear door trim to the door assembly, and then secure the clips (x15).

    Make sure the beltline harness branch is routed properly.
  5. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the LH rear door trim to the door assembly.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

  6. Install the LH rear beltline assembly. See Beltline Assembly - Door Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
