Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  3. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  4. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  5. Deflate the air suspension. See Air Suspension - Pressurize / Depressurize - Full System.
  6. Open the powered frunk.
  7. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Open the tonneau cover.
  9. Open the tailgate.
  10. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  11. Remove the RH rear fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare - RH (Remove and Install).
  12. Remove the RH rear aft fender flare carrier. See Front and Rear Garnish - Carrier - Rear Fender Flare Aft - RH (Remove and Install).
  13. Release the clips (x2) that attach the air suspension fill tube. Release the datum, and then slide the clip away from the body.
  14. Remove the LH and RH cargo tub struts. See Tonneau - Bed Cargo Tub Strut (Remove and Install).
  15. Remove the bed cargo tub lid. See Bed Cargo Tub - Bed Cargo Tub Lid (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the bed floor assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  17. Remove the LH sail applique assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Sail Applique Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove the LH tonneau water management seal. See Tailgate Seals - Tonneau Water Management Seal, LH, Center (Remove and Install).
  19. Remove the LH upper bed side wall assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Upper Bed Side Wall Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  20. Remove the LH rear bed closeout. See Truck Bed - Rear Bed Closeout - LH (Remove and Install).
  21. Remove the LH bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall - Bed Side Wall - LH (Remove and Install).
  22. Remove the RH sail applique assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Sail Applique Assembly - RH (Remove and Replace).
  23. Remove the RH tonneau water management seal. See Tailgate Seals - Tonneau Water Management Seal, LH, Center (Remove and Install).
  24. Remove the RH upper bed side wall assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Upper Bed Side Wall Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  25. Remove the RH rear bed closeout. See Truck Bed - Rear Bed Closeout - LH (Remove and Install).
  26. Remove the RH bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall - Bed Side Wall - LH (Remove and Install).
  27. Remove the bed cargo smugglers bay. See Bed Cargo Tub - Bed Cargo Smugglers Bay (Remove and Install).
  28. Disconnect the rear air lines from the valve block, the reservoir, and the compressor.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

  29. Press the clip tabs on the fitting inward to release, and then disconnect the breather hose from the rear drive unit.
  30. Disconnect the VOSS fittings (x2), then release the clips (x8) that attach the rear air lines to the body, and the remove the air lines from the vehicle.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

Install

  1. Install the rear air lines on the vehicle, then connect the VOSS fittings (x2), and then fasten the clips (x8) that attach the air lines to the body.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
  2. Connect the fitting and the clip that attach the breather hose to the rear drive unit. Perform a push-pull-push test to ensure the breather is secured.
  3. Connect the rear airline bundle to the valve block, the reservoir, and the compressor.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm flare nut crowfoot socket
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

  4. Install the bed cargo smugglers bay. See Bed Cargo Tub - Bed Cargo Smugglers Bay (Remove and Install).
  5. Install the RH bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall - Bed Side Wall - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the RH rear bed closeout. See Truck Bed - Rear Bed Closeout - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the RH upper bed side wall assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Upper Bed Side Wall Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the RH tonneau water management seal. See Tailgate Seals - Tonneau Water Management Seal, LH, Center (Remove and Install).
  9. Install the RH sail applique assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Sail Applique Assembly - RH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH bed side wall. See Bed Side Wall - Bed Side Wall - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Install the LH rear bed closeout. See Truck Bed - Rear Bed Closeout - LH (Remove and Install).
  12. Install the LH upper bed side wall assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Upper Bed Side Wall Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  13. Install the LH tonneau water management seal. See Tailgate Seals - Tonneau Water Management Seal, LH, Center (Remove and Install).
  14. Install the LH sail applique assembly. See Truck Bed Exterior Trim - Sail Applique Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the bed floor assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  16. Install the bed cargo tub lid. See Bed Cargo Tub - Bed Cargo Tub Lid (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the LH and RH cargo tub struts. See Tonneau - Bed Cargo Tub Strut (Remove and Install).
  18. Connect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  19. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  20. Close the powered frunk.
  21. Close the tonneau cover.
  22. Close the tailgate.
  23. Fasten the air suspension fill tube clips (x2).
  24. Refill the air suspension reservoir. See Air Suspension - Pressurize / Depressurize - Full System.
  25. Install the RH rear fender flare carrier. See Front and Rear Garnish - Carrier - Rear Fender Flare Aft - RH (Remove and Install).
  26. Install the clips (x2) that attach the RH rear wheel liner to the fender carrier.
  27. Install the RH rear fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare - RH (Remove and Install).
  28. Put the air suspension in "Normal Mode" through the vehicle touchscreen. Touch Service > Chassis > Air Suspension > Normal.
  29. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  30. Verify the operation of the air suspension. Cycle the ride height on the vehicle touchscreen from "Low" to "High", and then set the suspension back to "Standard'" after verification.
