Oil Filter - Rear Drive Unit (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  3. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the rear skid plate. See Skid Plate - Rear (Remove and Install).
  5. Lower vehicle partially and set onto locks.
    Note
    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height.
  6. Position oil drain underneath RDU.
  7. Remove RDU oil filter.
    Note
    Rotate filter counter clockwise and remove from FDU.
