Air Suspension Pressure Lines - Right Airline Bundle (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the High Voltage (HV) battery. See HV Battery (AWD) \(Remove and Install\).
  2. Remove the RH rear fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare - RH (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the RH rear wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Rear Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the RH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Front Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect the RH front air line, and then remove and discard the VOSS fitting once disconnected.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm 12-point combination wrench
  6. Release the clips (x4) that attach the front portion of the RH airline bundle to the body.
  7. Release the clips (x7) that attach the mid portion of RH airline bundle to the body.
  8. Disconnect the RH airline bundle, then release the clips (x3), and then remove the bundle from the vehicle. Discard the airline fitting after removal.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm 12-point combination wrench

Install

  1. Position the RH airline bundle into the vehicle, then fasten the clips (x3), and then connect the rear airline connection to the air suspension valve block.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

    Note
    Install a new airline VOSS fitting.

    Note
    Remove the plastic cap from the VOSS fitting, and then press the air line into the fitting until the mark aligns with the top of the fitting. Verify the air line is properly secured by performing push-pull test.
  2. Install the clips (x7) that attach the mid portion of the RH airline bundle.
  3. Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the RH front portion of the airline bundle.
  4. Install the RH front air line.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 14 mm flare nut crowfoot socket

    Note
    Install a new VOSS fitting supplied with the air spring module.

    Note
    Remove the plastic cap from the VOSS fitting, and then press the air line into the fitting until the mark aligns with the top of the fitting. Verify the air line is properly secured by performing a push-pull test.
  5. Install the RH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Front Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the RH rear wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Rear Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the High Voltage (HV) battery. See HV Battery (AWD) \(Remove and Install\).
  8. Refill the air suspension reservoir. See Air Suspension - Pressurize / Depressurize - Full System.
