Passenger Ducting and Vents - Center Console Riser Duct (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Move the front seats fully forward.
  3. Remove the center console rear panel. See Center Console - Back Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the center console to the riser.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  5. Move the front seats fully rearward.
  6. Remove the LH and RH center floor rails. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Center Floor Rail - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the center console front panel. See Center Console - Front Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the center floor trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Center Floor Trim (Remove and Install).
  9. Remove the center console assembly. See Center Console - Center Console Assembly (Remove and Install).
  10. Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Partially remove the LH side lower A-pillar primary seal.
  12. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  13. Remove the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
  14. Remove the pedal side trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Pedal - Side Trim (Remove and Install).
  15. Fold back the LH front cabin carpet.
  16. Remove the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  17. Partially remove the RH front door seal .
  18. Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  19. Fold back the RH carpet.
  20. Release the clips (x4) that attach the center floor lower support bracket to the vehicle, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
  21. Slide the floor jumper duct forward to release it from the center console riser duct, and then lift the rear of the jumper duct and pull rearward to remove it.
  22. Release the clips (x2) that attach the center console riser duct to the vehicle, and then slide the duct forward to remove it.

Install

  1. Position the center console riser duct to the vehicle, and then install the clips (x2) that attach the duct to the vehicle.

    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  2. Position the floor jumper duct into the vehicle, slide the front of the duct into position, and then install the rear of the jumper duct to the riser duct.
  3. Position the center floor lower support bracket to the vehicle, and then install the clips (x4) that attach the bracket to the vehicle.
  4. Unfold the RH front cabin carpet into position.
  5. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the RH front door seal.
  7. Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the RH center floor rail. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Center Floor Rail - LH (Remove and Install).
  9. Move the RH front seat fully forward.
  10. Position the center console into the vehicle, and then lower the center console onto the riser.
  11. Connect the center console harness electrical connectors (x2).
  12. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the front of the center console to the riser.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  13. Position the HV outlet to the front console panel, and then install the screws (x2) and secure the harness clip that attach the outlet to the panel.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  14. Install the center console front panel. See Center Console - Front Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  15. Unfold the LH front cabin carpet into position.
  16. Install the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
  17. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  18. Secure the LH side lower A-pillar primary seal.
  19. Install the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  20. Install the pedal side trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Pedal - Side Trim (Remove and Install).
  21. Install the center floor trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Center Floor Trim (Remove and Install).
  22. Install the LH center floor rail. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Center Floor Rail - LH (Remove and Install).
  23. Move the LH front seat fully forward.
  24. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the center console to the riser.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  25. Install the center console rear panel. See Center Console - Back Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  26. Restore the LH and RH front seats back to their original position.
  27. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
