Remote and Passive Entry - Front Rear BLE Gen 3 (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Very High to set the vehicle ride height to Very High.
  3. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  6. Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Front Bumper Fascia - Front Fascia (Remove and Install).
  8. Release the locking tab and disconnect the front BLE endpoint electrical connector, remove the screws (x2) that attach the front BLE endpoint to the vehicle, and then remove the BLE endpoint from the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket

Install

  1. Position the front BLE endpoint into the vehicle, install the bolts (x2) that attach the BLE endpoint to the vehicle, and then connect the electrical connector and engage the connector lock.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  2. Install the front fascia assembly. See Front Bumper Fascia - Front Fascia (Remove and Install).
  3. Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  5. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  7. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Standard to set the vehicle ride height to Standard.
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
