Harness - LH - Bed (Long Range) (Remove and Install)

Warning

Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.

Open all 4 doors

Note
Push pillar door triggers to release
Lower all 4 windows
Manually latch all doors to prevent lockout

Open tailgate

Remove rear underhood apron

Disconnect FRL connector then disconnect MV battery connector

2x connectors, Release locking tab then disconnect FRL connector, Slide eCPA to left then lift lever to release MV battery connector, Early production trucks may have black FRL connector, Release eCPA by pushing down to unlock and slide red locking tab, Wait 2 minutes for electrical circuits to discharge before disconnecting modules
Remove frunk assembly

Note
6x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 2x bolt caps, 2x bumpstops, 1x connector, Remove bolt covers from frunk floor, Remove washer fluid cap by gently prying upwards, Rotate bumpstops counter clockwise to release, the 25mm socket from PT Sensor kit can be used, Avoid straining emergency frunk release connector
Remove LH underhood apron

Remove front nut securing LH cantrail

1x nut, 8mm, 4 Nm, Discard after removal
Remove LH header seal

Note
Seal begins at front quarter glass and ends at C-pillar applique, Start at C-pillar, Pull B-pillar applique down gently to release seal, Pull outwards to release seal from carrier grooves
Remove screws securing LH cantrail

Note
8x screws, T20, 2.5 Nm, Pull C-pillar applique down as required for access
Remove LH cantrail assembly

7x clips, Recommend assistance, Pull away from body side to release clips, Place on padded surface
Remove LH sail baffle applique

6x clips, 1x tab, Release LH tailgate cable by disengaging lock spring from bolt and sliding cable eyelet off to allow removal of bed closeout panel from vehicle

Remove LH outer bed side

13x bolts, 13mm, 28 Nm, 1x screw, T25, 8 Nm, Assistance required, Have assistant hold bed side to body while bolts are removed, Place on padded surface once removed
Remove clips securing LH rear wheel liner onto rear fascia and diffuser

Disconnect LH bed harness at rear MV controller

1x connector, 1x bolt, 8mm, 4 Nm, Do not remove locking cover, Loosen until bolt spins freely, Double check that bolt and locking cover are fully released before attempting to release any MV connectors, Depress tabs to release connectorPlastic Locking Cover Use hand tools on any plastic locking covers, The locking cover may release crooked causing it to get stuck, secure bolt a few turns to loosen the tension then release bolt while assisting plastic locking cover by gently prying on the side that's stuck Metal Locking Cover You can use power tools, Quickly disconnecting locking cover helps connectors remove symmetrically

Install frunk assembly

6x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 2x bolt caps, 2x bumpstops, 1x connector, Install bolt covers to frunk floor, Install washer fluid cap, Install bumpstops by aligning tabs then turning clockwise, Ensure emergency frunk release functions
Install rear underhood apron
