Air Suspension Compressor and Reservoir - Air Compressor Exhaust Assembly (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  3. Open the tonneau cover.
  4. Open the tailgate.
  5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  7. Remove the bed floor assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Release the clips (x4) that attach the air compressor harness to the vehicle, and then disconnect the harness electrical connectors (x3).
  9. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the air suspension compressor carrier bracket to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  10. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the air suspension compressor bracket to the air compressor.
    5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  11. Move the air suspension bracket aside to access the air line inlet fitting.
  12. Remove the air compressor exhaust assembly.

    Note
    Pull back the collar of the fitting, and then pull the exhaust outward to release it.

Install

  1. Install the air compressor exhaust assembly into the vehicle.

    Push the exhaust inward firmly to secure it.

    Perform a push-pull-push test to ensure the hose is fully engaged.
  2. Reposition the air suspension bracket.
  3. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the air suspension compressor bracket to the air compressor.
    5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  4. Install the nuts (x3) that attach the air suspension compressor carrier bracket to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  5. Connect the air compressor harness electrical connectors (x3), and then secure the clips (x4) that attach the air compressor harness to the vehicle.
  6. Install the bed floor assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  9. Close the tonneau cover.
  10. Close the tailgate.
  11. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  12. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
