1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
2. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
3. Open the tailgate.
4. Open the tonneau cover.
5. Remove the LH sail applique. See Sail Applique - LH (Remove and Replace).
6. Remove the LH tonneau water management seal. See Water Management Seal - LH - Center - Tonneau (Remove and Install).
7. Remove the LH rear lamp closeout applique. See Applique - Closeout - Lamp - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
8. Remove LH tonneau hard stop
   Note

   3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm

   

   

9. Remove LH tonneau slip datum bracket

   

   

10. Remove the LH tailgate bumpstop. See Bumpstop - Tailgate (Remove and Install).
11. Remove the RH sail applique. See Sail Applique - RH (Remove and Replace).
12. Remove the RH tonneau water management seal. See Water Management Seal - LH - Center - Tonneau (Remove and Install).
13. Remove the RH rear lamp closeout applique. See Applique - Closeout - Lamp - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
14. Remove RH tonneau hard stop
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm

    

    

15. Remove RH tonneau slip datum bracket

    

    

16. Remove RH tailgate bumpstop
    Note

    1x datum, Rotate and release

    

    

17. Install tonneau transfer frame onto powertrain table
    Note

    4x bolts, 4x nuts, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

18. Position tonneau transfer frame onto tonneau bed rails
    Note

    Connect air supply, Raise and adjust angle on powertrain table as needed, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

19. Align and secure tonneau transfer frame onto tonneau bed rails
    Note

    2x pins, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

20. Connect tonneau switch connector
    Note

    1x connector, Position LH sail applique onto bed

    

    

21. Release tonneau chain from motors
    Note

    Recommend assistance, Press close button until both motors have audibly released all links, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

22. Secure tonneau floating slats
    Note

    Slats must be secured to prevent breakdown or shifting, Use tape or bungees as needed

    

23. Manually guide remaining tonneau slats and chain out of bed rails
    Note

    Recommend assistance, 2x pins, Remove pins then move powertrain table away from vehicle and guide slats out, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

24. Remove tonneau slats system from tonneau transfer frame
    Note

    assistance required

    

25. Prepare tonneau slate system for installation
    Note

    assistance required, removed slate system from packaging and place on the ground, take care to not damage the finish of the slats

    

    

26. Install new tonneau slats system on to tonneau transfer frame
    Note

    assistances required

    

    

27. Position tonneau transfer frame onto tonneau bed rails
    Note

    Lay tonneau chain on tailgate and secure ends to prevent breakdown or shifting, Use tape or bungees as needed, Connect air supply, Raise and adjust angle on powertrain table as needed, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

28. Manually guide remaining tonneau slats and chain onto bed rails
    Note

    Recommend assistance, 2x pins, Evenly guide slats in then install pins, Monitor Y reaction clips entering bed rails and ensure clips do not bind, Monitor slats during install and ensure all are squared during install, Adjust as needed, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

29. Release tonneau floating slats
    Note

    Slats must be secured to prevent breakdown, Use tape or bungees as needed

    

30. Secure tonneau chain onto motors
    Note

    Recommend assistance, Press open button until both motors have audibly secured all links and cover is fully open, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

31. Remove tonneau transfer frame from tonneau bed rails
    Note

    Disconnect air supply, Lower and adjust angle on powertrain table as needed, Frame TPN: 1999662-00-A

    

    

    

32. Install the RH tailgate bumpstop. See Bumpstop - Tailgate (Remove and Install).
33. Install RH tonneau slip datum bracket

    

    

34. Install RH tonneau hard stop
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Hand start center black locating bolt first, Set 2mm space between datum and end of bed rail

    

    

    

35. Install the RH rear lamp closeout applique. See Applique - Closeout - Lamp - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
36. Install the RH tonneau water management seal. See Water Management Seal - LH - Center - Tonneau (Remove and Install).
37. Install the RH sail applique. See Sail Applique - RH (Remove and Replace).
38. Install the LH tailgate bumpstop. See Bumpstop - Tailgate (Remove and Install).
39. Install LH tonneau slip datum bracket

    

    

40. Install LH tonneau hard stop
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Hand start center black locating bolt first, Set 2mm space between datum and end of bed rail

    

    

    

41. Install the LH rear lamp closeout applique. See Applique - Closeout - Lamp - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
42. Install LH tonneau water management seal. See Water Management Seal - LH - Center - Tonneau (Remove and Install).
43. Install the LH sail applique. See Sail Applique - LH (Remove and Replace).
44. Close the tailgate.
45. Close the tonneau cover.
46. Run ODIN routine PROC_ICE_X_EXIT-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox:(link)
47. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
48. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
