Center Console - Back Panel Assembly (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Move the LH front seat fully forward.
  3. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  4. Release the clips (x10) that attach the back panel assembly to the center console, and then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3) and release the harness clips (x3).
  5. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the HV outlet to the center console back panel, release the harness clips (x2), and then remove the back panel from the vehicle.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit

Install

  1. Position the HV outlet to the center console back panel, install the harness clips (x2), and then install the screws (x3) that attach the HV outlet to the back panel.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  2. Position the center console back panel assembly to the center console, connect the electrical connectors (x3) and secure the harness clips (x3), and then secure the clips (x10) that attach the back panel to the center console.
    Tip: Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  3. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
  4. Restore the LH front seat back to its original position.
  5. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
