Interior Ducting and Vents - Demist Duct Asssembly - Driver (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install)
  4. Remove the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
  5. Repeat steps 2and 3 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  6. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  8. Remove the mid instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  9. Remove the lower instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Lower Assembly (Remove and Install).
  10. Remove the glovebox assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Glovebox Assembly (Remove and Install).
  11. Remove the RH air wave duct. See Passenger Ducting and Vents - Panel Duct, RH (Remove and Install).
  12. Remove the front passenger airbag. See Front Air Bags - MX - Passenger Airbag, NAR (Remove and Install).
  13. Remove the instrument panel top pad assembly. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Top Pad Assembly (Remove and Install)
  14. Remove the instrument panel aerobracket assembly. See Interior Ducting and Vents - IP Aerobracket Assembly (Remove and Install).
  15. Disconnect the driver side IP airwave module electrical connectors (x2).
  16. Disconnect the IP aerobracket assembly light strip electrical connectors (x2).
  17. Disconnect the passenger side IP airwave module electrical connectors (x2).
  18. Remove the push clip and release the clip that attach the driver demist duct assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the duct from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the driver demist duct assembly into the vehicle, and then secure the clip and install the push clip.
  2. Remove the instrument panel aerobracket assembly. See Interior Ducting and Vents - IP Aerobracket Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Install the instrument panel top pad assembly. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Top Pad Assembly (Remove and Install)
  4. Install the front passenger airbag. See Front Air Bags - MX - Passenger Airbag, NAR (Remove and Install).
  5. Install the RH air wave duct. See Passenger Ducting and Vents - Panel Duct, RH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the glovebox assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Glovebox Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the lower instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Lower Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the mid instrument panel assembly. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  9. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  10. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  11. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install)
  12. Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  13. Install the footwell cover. See Dash Support Frame - Footwell Cover (Remove and Install).
  14. Repeat steps 11 and 12 for the LH side of the vehicle.
  15. Close the front doors and lower the front windows.
