Verify turn plates and slip plates are locked

Open LH front door
NotePush LH B-pillar door trigger to release
- Lower LH front window

Drive vehicle onto 4-post lift and shift into park
NoteRecommend assistance for aligning vehicle to ramps

Remove RH front wheel cap
Note1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

Remove RH rear wheel cap
Note1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

Remove LH rear wheel cap
Note1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached

Remove LH front wheel cap

Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3
NoteOBD-II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus

Set tire pressures to specification
NoteVia UI > Controls > Service > Tire Pressure, Refer to "Tire and Loading Information" label located LH B-pillar, Specification is 50 PSI

Unlock vehicle gateway
NoteAfter vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", place keycard on center console to turn on drive rails, hold down the brake pedal, while keep pressing right hand signal button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the UI right next to the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the UI next to the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information

Clear straight ahead offset
NoteVia UI > Service Mode Plus > Service > Chassis > Alignment & Tires > Steering > Clear Straight Ahead Offset, Via Toolbox 3 > Actions > "PROC_PEPS_CLEAR-STEERING-OFFSET"

Run routine to center steering wheel
NoteSteering wheel check routine: "PROC_X_SBW-START-HOLD" > Steering ECU: psfa, timer 10 secIf the timer is selected for a high amount this can be cancelled in tbx with "PROC_X_SBW-STOP-HOLD" > Steering ECU: psfa, Use the light bar behind steering for checking alignment with the top of the steering wheelIf steering wheel is aligned correctly move on to the next stepIf steering isn't aligned correctly re-calibrate the steering wheel by running "Set Handwheel Zero" routine on the UI, Service Mode Plus > Chassis > Alignment & Tires > Set Handwheel Zero

Verify chassis measurement tool is set to 51mm
NoteAdjust as needed, Specification for "Zero" is 51mm

Raise 4-post lift to comfortable working height
NoteVerify rack is lowered onto locks evenly
- Latch LH front seat belt
- Manually latch LH front door

Place vehicle in neutral
NoteEnter vehicle > Enable Jack Mode > Shift to neutral > Close driver's door latch, Ensure climate control and exterior lighting is turned off

Push vehicle evenly onto turn plates
NoteVerify turn plates are centered to front wheelsRecommend assistance if needed, Slowly roll vehicle evenly onto turn plates

Position wheel chocks onto both sides of LH rear wheel
Note2x chocks

Install alignment heads onto all four wheels
Note4x alignment heads, Position alignment heads centered to wheel, Adjust side arms as necessary to grip tires securely

Perform rolling compensation
NoteMove vehicle using LH rear wheel, Use chocks to prevent vehicle from rolling away, Reinstall the chalks to secure vehicle after rolling compensation is done
- Apply brake pedal depressor

Disable rear steer actuator
NoteVia UI > Service Mode Plus > Service > Chassis > Alignment & Tires > Center + Hold Rear, Via Toolbox 3 > Actions > "PROC_RSA_RAMP-TO-ZEROOR", This will center and disable rear rack

Perform caster sweep
NoteSee instructions indicated via alignment machine display

Unlatch LH front door
NoteUse exterior door handle to release latch
- Unlatch LH front seat belt

Run front center and hold routine
NoteVia UI > Service Mode Plus > Service > Chassis > Alignment & Tires > Center+Hold Front, Front rack will move to center and hold until timeout value reached, Adjust timeout value as needed, Click run and close pop up window, Center+Front and Hold Handwheel boxes will display a spinning icon until timeout is reached

Perform rear toe adjustment
Note2x jam nuts per side, 27mm & 32mm, 70 Nm, Loosen outboard jam nut, then inboard, Adjust 22mm turn buckle as necessary, Tighten inboard, then outboard once adjustment is done

Perform front toe adjustment
Note1x rod, 15mm, 1x nut, 24mm, 90 Nm, Loosen the jam nuts and turn the inner turnbuckle CW or CCW in the direction indicated by the alignment equipment to achieve the in-spec “green” value, Tighten inboard then outboard once adjustment is done

Note1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

Install RH front wheel cap
Note1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring

Install LH front wheel cap

- Lower 4-post lift fully

Remove wheel chocks from LH rear wheel

- Remove brake pedal depressor
- Raise LH front window
- Close LH front door
- Remove vehicle from 4-post lift

Perform test drive
NotePerform a test drive after alignmentDrive a minimum speed of 25mph, Drive in a straight line and check for excessive pull, Verify the steering wheel is centered when vehicle is driving straight, Determine whether an alignment is recommended
