Install

  1. Install the trailer ECU. See Body Controllers - Trailer ECU (Remove and Install).
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  3. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  4. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for "Update VCTRAILER".
  5. Click Update VCTRAILER, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  6. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
