Control Module - Steering Column (Remove and Replace)

Install

  1. Install the steering wheel control module. See Control Module - Steering Column (Remove and Install).
  2. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  3. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy"
  4. Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  5. Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3.
  6. Run PROC_EGGLEFTVC_X_STEERING-COLUMN-CALIBRATIONvia Toolbox:(link)
  7. Run TEST-SELF_EGGLEFTVC_X_STEERING-COLUMNvia Toolbox:(link)
  8. Run TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_X_SWC-HEATERvia Toolbox:(link)
  9. Run TEST-RESET_VCLEFTvia Service Mode Plus:
    • Chassis ➜ SCCM ➜ Reset VCLeft
    • Low Voltage ➜ Power Distribution ➜ Reset VCLEFT
    • Mid Voltage ➜ Power Distribution ➜ Reset VCLEFT
    via Toolbox:(link)    , click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  10. Perform Handwheel calibration. See Set Handwheel Zero.
  11. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  12. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  13. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
