  1. Raise and support vehicle

  2. Open LH front door

    Push LH B-pillar door trigger to release
  3. Lower LH front window
  4. Open powered front trunk

  5. Remove rear underhood apron

  6. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

    Vehicle OBD II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
  7. Select "Actions" and search for "EPB"
  8. Select PROC_EPBL_START-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click 'Run', and allow routine to complete

  9. Remove LH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached
  10. Loosen LH rear wheel nuts

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm
  11. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  12. Remove LH rear wheel

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm
  13. Position oil drain under LH rear brake caliper
  14. Disconnect EPB harness connector from LH rear brake caliper

  15. Remove LH rear brake caliper

    2x bolts, 21 mm, 150 Nm, 1x banjo bolt, 11mm, 42 Nm
  16. Install LH rear brake caliper onto LH rear knuckle

  17. Connect LH rear EPB harness

    1x connector, Engage locking tab
  18. Remove oil drain from underneath vehicle
  19. Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
  20. Hold brake pedal and select park on UI to disable EPB service mode
  21. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap
  22. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
  23. Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level

    Use only DOT 4 brake fluid
  24. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir

    Attach the brake reservoir hose to the brake adapter at this time
  25. Set pressure to 30psi

    Connect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power to set pressure to 30 psi
  26. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

  27. Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"bleed"
  28. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

  29. Open the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEEDvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode:
    • Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Bleed FR-RL
    • Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Bleed FR-RL
    and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running

    1x bleeding valve, 10mm, 10 Nm, Make sure valve is hand tight when closed
  30. Repeat the above step until clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

  31. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

  32. Turn off and remove pressure brake bleeder kit from vehicle
  33. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
  34. Install brake reservoir cap
  35. Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure pedal feels normal
  36. Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"Stiffness"
  37. Select TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-SERVICEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Stiffness Test, click "Run", and allow routine to complete
  38. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop
  39. Install rear underhood apron

  40. Close powered front trunk

  41. Install LH rear wheel

  42. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  43. Torque LH rear wheel nuts

  44. Install LH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring
  45. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
  46. Raise LH front window
  47. Close LH front door
