Latch - Powergate (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).

Apply paint mark around the edges of
the powergate latch to mark the current position.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the powergate latch to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Disconnect the powergate latch electrical connector, and then release the clip that
attaches the connector to the vehicle.

Release the clips (x2) and cables (x2)
that attach the powergate latch to the vehicle, and then remove the latch from the
vehicle.
NoteTurn the latch assembly over for access to the cable stays.NotePinch the sides of the LH cable stay, and then pull outward to release it.NoteDepress the tab on the RH cable stay, and then slide outward to release it.NoteRelease the cable ends from the grooves.
Install

Release the clips (x2) and cables (x2) that attach the powergate latch to the
vehicle, and then remove the latch from the vehicle.
NoteSecure the cable ends to the latch assembly, and then secure the cable stays.NoteIf replacing the latch assembly, add correction code as required for panel adjustment.

Connect the powergate latch electrical connector, and then secure the connector to
the vehicle.

Align the latch assembly with the bolt witness marks, and then install the bolts (x2)
that attach the powergate latch to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
