Latch - Powergate (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).

Mark the position of the latch.
NoteApply paint mark around edges of the latch for proper positioning of the new latch.

Disconnect the powergate latch electrical connector, and then release the connector
from the latch assembly.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the powergate latch to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Release cables (x2) and clip from the
powergate latch, and then remove the latch assembly from the vehicle.
NoteRotate the latch assembly for access to the cable stays.NotePinch the sides of the LH cable stay, and then pull the cable outward to release it. Press the tab on the RH cable stay, and then slide the cable outward to release it.NoteRelease the cable ends from the grooves.
Install

Position the powergate latch into the vehicle, and then secure the cables (x2) and
clip to the latch assembly.
NoteSecure the cable ends to the latch assembly, and then secure the cable stays.

Align the powergate latch with the bolt witness marks, and then install the bolts
(x2) that attach the latch to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Connect the powergate latch electrical connector, and then secure the connector to
the latch assembly.

Close the powergate and check gap and flush measurements. Adjust as necessary.
NoteRefer to CVIS for gap and flush tolerances. Add correction code as required for panel adjustment.
- Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
