Door Controller - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front door trim. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Install)
  2. Disconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  3. Disconnect the front door harness and enclosure harness from the LH front door controller.
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front door controller to the LH front door, and then remove the controller from the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH front door controller into the LH front door, and then install the bolt that attaches the controller from the vehicle.

    Make sure the datums are engaged.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  2. Connect the front door harness and enclosure harness to the LH front door controller.
  3. Reconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  4. Install the LH front door trim. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Install)
  5. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  6. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Door Controller Addressing".
  7. Click PROC_X_DOOR-CONTROLLER-ADDRESSINGvia Service Mode:Closures ➜ Doors ➜ Configure VCDOORsvia Toolbox:(link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  8. Use the touchscreen to place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  9. On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Service Mode > Software Reinstall > Reinstall to reinstall the vehicle software.

    Note
    Installation will begin immediately.
  10. Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3.
  11. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Door Presenter Calibration FL".
  12. Click PROC_VCDOOR_X_DOOR-PRESENTER-CALIBRATE-FLvia Toolbox:(link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  13. Calibrate the LH front window.

    Note
    Press and hold the selected window switch for 15 seconds. Raise the window and hold for 15 seconds. Test the window by hard pressing to verify the auto raise/lower functions correctly.
  14. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle, See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  15. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  16. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
