Spring Kit - Brake Caliper - Front (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the brake pad anti-rattle springs (x2) from the LH front brake caliper.
    Note
    Release the tab, and then remove the spring from the caliper. Repeat for the remaining anti-rattle spring.

Install

  1. Install the brake pad anti-rattle springs (x2) into the LH front brake caliper.
  2. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  4. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  5. Perform a road test and burnish the brakes.
    Note
    Make sure there is proper brake pedal feel and performance. Add correction code 00040100 as needed.
