  1. Open LH front door

  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Raise and support vehicle

  4. Open powered front trunk

  5. Remove rear underhood apron

  6. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

    Vehicle OBD II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
  7. Select "Actions" and search for "EPB"
  8. Select PROC_EPBL_START-SERVICE-MODESearch for routine in ToolboxStart EPBL Service Mode, click 'Run', and allow routine to complete

    Chock wheel if necessary, Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
  9. Remove LH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached
  10. Loosen LH rear wheel nuts

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm
  11. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  12. Remove LH rear wheel

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm
  13. Position oil drain under LH rear brake caliper
  14. Release LH rear brake line from upper control arm

  15. Disconnect EPB harness connector from LH rear brake caliper

    1x connector, Release locking tab
  16. Remove LH rear brake caliper

    2x bolts, 21 mm, 150 Nm, 1x banjo bolt, 11mm, 42 Nm
  17. Install LH rear brake caliper onto LH rear knuckle

  18. Remove bolt securing LH rear caliper to bracket

  19. Rotate LH rear caliper upward
  20. Install brake pads onto LH rear caliper bracket

    2x pads, Ensure pads seat correctly onto guides
  21. Install LH rear caliper pad return springs

    2x springs, Hold pads first then install springs, Install one at a time
  22. Rotate LH rear caliper downward

    Hold pads to ensure correct fitment
  23. Install bolt securing LH rear caliper to bracket

    1x bolt, 14mm, 40 Nm
  24. Connect LH rear EPB harness

    1x connector, Engage locking tab
  25. Remove oil drain from underneath vehicle
  26. Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
  27. Hold brake pedal and select park on UI to disable EPB service mode
  28. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap
  29. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
  30. Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level

    Use only DOT 4 brake fluid
  31. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir

    Attach the brake reservoir hose to the brake adapter at this time
  32. Set pressure to 30psi

    Connect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power to set pressure to 30 psi
  33. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

  34. Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"bleed"
  35. Remove bleeding valve cover and install the fluid catching bottle to LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve before starting the ESP

Open the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve then Click the play button next to PROC_ESP_FRONT-R-REAR-L-BRAKE-BLEEDSearch for routine in ToolboxFR and RL brake bleed procedureChassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Bleed FR-RLChassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Bleed FR-RL and select "Run" to start the ESP and then close the bleeding valve once the pump stops running

  37. Repeat the above step until clear fluid and no air bubbles come out of the LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve

  38. Remove the fluid catching bottle, Torque LH rear brake caliper bleeding valve and install cover

  39. Turn off and remove pressure brake bleeder kit from vehicle
  40. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
  41. Install brake reservoir cap
  42. Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure pedal feels normal
  43. Select "Actions" tab and search for ‘"Stiffness"
  44. Select TEST_BRAKE_X_STIFFNESS-TEST-SERVICESearch for routine in ToolboxIBST Stiffness Test - Service - BURNISHED/UNBURNISHEDChassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Brake Stiffness Test, click "Run", and allow routine to complete
  45. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop
  46. Install rear underhood apron

  47. Close powered front trunk

  48. Install LH rear wheel

  49. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  50. Torque LH rear wheel nuts

    6x nuts, 21mm, 205 Nm
  51. Install LH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring
  52. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
  53. Raise LH front window
  54. Close LH front door
