Side and Fender Flare Cameras - Fender Flare Camera - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Release the clips (x11) and datums (x3) that attach the LH front fender flare cover to the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the cover from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    The camera harness is very short. Make sure excess force is not exerted on harness.
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH front flare trinity camera to the flare cover, and then remove the camera from the cover.
    0.8 Nm (7 lbs-in)

    Slide the camera straight out of the housing.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T8 bit

Install

  1. Slide the LH front flare trinity camera into position, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the camera to the flare cover.
    0.8 Nm (7 lbs-in)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T8 bit
  2. Position the LH front fender flare cover to the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips (x11) and datums (x3) that attach the cover to the vehicle.

    Note
    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  3. Place the vehicle into Service Mode via the UI. See Service Mode.
  4. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  5. In Service UI, navigate to Driver Assist > Cameras > Clear Camera Calibration > Camera Input > ForwardFacing, and touch Run to clear the camera calibration.
  6. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Calibration Mode".
  8. Click PROC_DAS_X_ENTER-CALIBRATION-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  9. Click the Actions tab, and then search for "side repeater".
  10. Click PING-HTTP_DAS_L_REPEATER-CAMERA-SCRIPTvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  11. Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  12. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  13. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
