Hinges - Hood Strut (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.

Set the air suspension to "Very High".
NoteOn the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Ride Height > Very High.

Enable "Jack Mode" of the air suspension.
NoteOn the vehicle touchscreen, touch Controls > Service > Jack Mode.
- Open the powered frunk.
- Remove the LH front wheel liner. See .

Support the hood.
NoteCurrent hood prop does not work with the Cybertruck hood due to size of opening, Have an assistant hold the hood up while the hood strut is removed and installed.

Release the spring clip that attaches
the hood strut to the hinge.

Disconnect the electrical connector,
then release the locking clip that attaches the hood strut, and then remove the hood
strut from the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in
Install

Install the hood strut.
Notex1 electrical connector, x1 spring clipNoteEngage the locking tab.NoteMake sure that the spring clip is engaged to the stud mount before securing.

Secure the hood strut to the
hinge.

- Install the LH front wheel liner. See .
- Close the powered frunk.

Remove the suspension from "Jack Mode"
and set it to "Medium".
NoteTouch Controls > Service > Jack Mode.NoteTouch Controls > Ride Height > Medium
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
