Body Controllers - Trailer ECU (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Rear Bumper Fascia - Rear Fascia (Remove and Install).
  2. Release the pivot lever and disconnect the electrical connector from the trailer ECU.
  3. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the trailer ECU to the vehicle, and then remove the ECU from the vehicle.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the trailer ECU into the vehicle, and then install the nuts (x2) that attach the ECU to the vehicle.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the trailer ECU, and then pivot the lever past both locks to fully engage the connector.
  3. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Rear Bumper Fascia - Rear Fascia (Remove and Install).
