Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.

Remove

  1. Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the LH rear door beltline assembly. See Beltline Assembly - Door Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  5. Remove the LH rear door trim. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the LH rear door NVH foam. See NVH Foam - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Install)
  7. Disconnect the LH rear door trim harness electrical connectors (x4), release the tabs (x5) that attach the harness to the door trim, and then remove the harness from the door trim.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear door trim harness into the door trim, connect the harness electrical connectors (x4), and then secure the tabs (x5) that attach the harness to the door trim.
  2. Install the LH rear door NVH foam. See NVH Foam - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Install)
  3. Install the LH rear door trim. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Install the LH rear door beltline assembly. See Beltline Assembly - Door Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Install).
  5. Reconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
  7. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
