SuperManifold - ACC Filter (Remove and Replace)

  1. Open LH front door

    Push LH B-pillar door trigger to release
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Place vehicle in service mode

    Via UI > Controls > Software, Touch and hold "Cybertruck" for 2 seconds then release, Use screen keyboard to type "service" into dialog box then select OK
  4. Unlock vehicle gateway

    After vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", place keycard on center console to turn on drive rails, hold down the brake pedal, while keep pressing right hand signal button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the UI right next to the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the UI next to the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information
  5. Navigate to Refrigerant System through UI

  6. Select "Start Thermal Fill Drain (Refrigerant only)" through UI

  7. Open powered front trunk

  8. Remove rear underhood apron

  9. Remove frunk assembly

    6x bolts, 10mm, 12 Nm, 2x bolt caps, 2x bumpstops, 1x connector, Install bolt covers to frunk floor, Install washer fluid cap, Install bumpstops by aligning tabs then turning clockwise, Ensure emergency frunk release functions
  10. Remove caps from low side and high side AC ports

  11. Connect A/C hoses to ports

    Pull back frunk wall if installed to access low side port
  12. Perform AC recovery

    Touch time only: Note the amount of refrigerant and oil recovered, Refrigerant Type > Manual Menu > Recovery/Recycle > Verify hose connections, Machine will chime once process is complete, Vehicle may be left unattended, Note or print the amount of refrigerant and oil recovered, Refrigerant recovered should be ~2.24 lb (1.02 kg), Oil recovered should be ~0.3 oz (8.87 mL), If drained oil level increased more than 1.01 oz (30 mL) refer to drained oil loss chart https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/353700
  13. Perform AC recovery

  14. Remove dessicant filter snap ring

    1x snap ring, Install dessicant filter slide hammer then tap inwards to allow snap ring removal
  15. Remove dessicant filter

  16. Remove ACC filter

    Grab tab with long needle nose pliers then pull forward to release o-rings, Lift up then pull outwards to remove, Ensure both o-rings remain on ACC filter
  17. Install ACC filter

    Lubricate o-rings with RB100EV POE oil, Position in cavity then push inwards firmly to secure, Ensure filter is not canted during install to avoid damaging o-rings
  18. Install dessicant filter

    Lubricate o-rings with fresh refrigerant oil, Install dessicant filter with tab pointing upward, Gently tap into place with slide hammer
  19. Install dessicant filter snap ring

    1x snap ring, Ensure ring is fully seated in grooves
  20. Reconnect AC hoses to vehicle
  21. Perform AC vacuum and run leak test

    Touch time only: Manual Menu > Vacuum > Type 15 min > Select Enter
  22. Perform AC vacuum and run leak test

    Run time only: Set vacuum time to 15 minutes and leak test to ON, Machine will chime once process is complete, Vehicle may be left unattended, Verify leak test passed before continuing
  23. Remove low side AC hose from supermanifold to HVAC AC line assembly
  24. Use oil injector to add measured amount of oil back to the system

    Use calculated oil loss measurement and add new RB100EV oil into the system, If more than 30 mL drained out during recovery refer to drained oil loss chart: Toolbox article 353700
  25. Install low side AC hose to supermanifold to HVAC AC line assembly
  26. Perform AC charge

    Touch time: Enter refrigerant amount noted at AC recovery, Settings should match notes, Select Both Sides for charge, Machine will chime once process is complete
  27. Perform AC charge

    Run time - Enter refrigerant and oil amount noted at AC recovery, Settings should match notes, Select Both Sides for charge, Select ND-11 MSX using bottle icon, Machine will chime once process is complete, Vehicle may be left unattended, If desired use the Dye Inject option to inject leak detection dye
  28. Navigate to Refrigerant System through UI

  29. Select "Stop Thermal Fill Drain" through UI

  30. Perform Heat Pump Commissioning through UI

    Select Thermal > Sensors and Valves > Run Heat Pump Commissioning, click Run, close once routine is passed
  31. Proceed with Hose Equalize steps to complete AC recharge process and follow instructions displayed on AC Machine

    Disconnect high side coupler from vehicle, Turn AC on, Temp setting LO, Panel mode on, Fresh air mode on, Blower speed set to 10, Verify Hose Equalize settings, Verify discharge pressure does not exceed 26 bar and suction pressure is not below 1.15 bar,

  33. Perform Thermal Performance through the UI

  34. Exit Service Mode

  35. Install frunk assembly
