Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Open the powered frunk.
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Remove the LH front wheel cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Loosen the LH front wheel lug nuts (x6).
    205 Nm (151.2 lbs-ft)
    .
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 21 mm deep socket
  7. Raise the vehicle fully.
  8. Remove the nuts (x6) that attach the wheel to the hub, and then remove the wheel from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 21 mm deep socket
  9. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the knuckle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
  10. Position an oil drain underneath the LH front brake hose.
  11. Remove the bolt that attaches the hose to the LH front brake caliper.
    42 Nm (31.0 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm deep socket
  12. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front caliper to the knuckle.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 24 mm socket

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front caliper to the knuckle.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 24 mm socket

    The rotor will be loose until the caliper is installed.
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the hose to the LH front brake caliper.
    42 Nm (31.0 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm deep socket
  3. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the knuckle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
  4. Remove the oil drain from underneath the vehicle.
  5. Bleed the LH front caliper. See Brake Fluid Bleed - One Caliper.
  6. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the LH front wheel cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install)
  9. Close the powered frunk.
  10. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  11. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  12. Perform a road test and burnish the brakes.
