Undertray - Skid Plate (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Press the brake pedal to turn on drive rails.
  3. Set the air suspension ride height to “Very High”.

    On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Controls > Suspension > Off Road > Very High.
  4. Place the air suspension into "Jack Mode".

  5. Remove the LH and RH tow eye covers. See Front Grille and Applique - Lower Tow Eye Cap - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the push clips (x4) and bolts (x8) that attach the undertray skid plate to the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  7. Pivot the rear of the skid plate downwards and then forward to release the tabs (x8), and then remove skid plate from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    The tabs may require some force to release. Be careful not to damage the front fascia.

Install

  1. Position the skid plate into the vehicle, and then engage the tabs (x8) that attach the skid plate to the vehicle.
  2. Install the push clips (x4) and bolts (x8) that attach the skid plate to the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Make sure all the tabs (x8) are fully engaged before installing the fasteners.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Install the LH and RH tow eye covers. See Front Grille and Applique - Lower Tow Eye Cap - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the air suspension from "Jack Mode".

    On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Controls > Service > Jack Mode
  5. Set the air suspension height to "Standard".

  6. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
