Door Glass - Front Quarter Glass Assembly - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the frunk. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Side Apron Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).

Release the clip that attaches the
powergate latch jumper harness to the LH frunk applique.
- Remove the LH outer cantrail. See Trim - Roof Rail - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).

Partially remove the LH side lower
A-pillar primary seal.
- Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH IP quarter panel. See Dash Panel - Quarter Panel Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH upper A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH A-pillar forward trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Forward Trim - LH (Remove and Install).

Release the clips (x11) and datums
(x3) that attach the LH front fender flare cover to the vehicle, disconnect the
electrical connector, and then remove the cover from the vehicle.
CAUTIONThe camera harness is very short. Make sure excess force is not exerted on the harness.

Remove the clips (x10) that attach the
LH front wheel liner to the fender flare carrier, and then release the liner from the
carrier.
- Remove the LH front fender. See Closure Panels - Assembly - Fender - Left (Remove and Install).

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
LH quarter glass rear seal to the vehicle, and then remove the seal from the
vehicle.

Use equalizer to separate the front
datum from the quarter glass.
NoteSlide equalizer up against the datum and carefully tap equalizer to separate from the quarter glass.

Prepare the glazing wire and
handles.

Starting from rear, use the glazing
wire to remove the LH front quarter glass from the vehicle.
NoteUse a blade as required.NoteRemove any broken locator datum from the vehicle interior.
Install

Use IPA wipes to clean excess urethane
from the LH quarter panel.
NoteAllow 1 minute for dry time.

Use IPA wipes to clean excess urethane
from the LH front quarter glass assembly.
NoteCarefully clean the LH front quarter glass assembly.NoteRemove excess urethane from quarter glass.NoteInspect quarter glass for mutilation. Replace the quarter glass if damaged or broken.

Replace datums (x3) on the LH front
quarter glass.
NoteMark original datum locations.NoteCarefully remove and discard broken datums.

Apply primer on the mating surface of
the LH front quarter glass.

Apply primer on the mating surface of
the LH front quarter panel.

Prepare caulking gun and
urethane.
NoteSuggest opening of 7 mm wide and 12 mm tall.

Apply urethane on the LH front quarter
glass.
-
Install the LH front quarter glass on
the vehicle.
NoteMake sure to align the datums (x3).NoteStart by positioning datum into place. Apply pressure to surrounding areas. Reference urethane being applied to confirm dry time.

Position the LH quarter glass rear seal to the vehicle, and then install the clips
(x2) that attach the seal to the vehicle.
- Install the LH front fender. See Closure Panels - Assembly - Fender - Left (Remove and Install).

Position the LH fender baffle onto the
vehicle, and then secure the clips (x3).
NoteAccess through partially opened door.

Install the push clips (x10) that
attach the LH front wheel liner to the fender flare carrier.

Position the LH front fender flare
cover onto the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips
(x11) and datums (x3) that attach the cover to the vehicle.
CAUTIONThe camera harness is very short. Make sure excess force is not exerted on the harness.NoteReplace any missing or damaged clips.
- Install the LH A-pillar forward trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Forward Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH upper A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH IP quarter panel. See Dash Panel - Quarter Panel Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).

Secure the LH side lower A-pillar
primary seal.
- Install the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH outer cantrail. See Trim - Roof Rail - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the frunk. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).

Secure the clip that attaches the
powergate latch jumper harness to the LH frunk applique.
- Install the LH underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Side Apron Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
