Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the lower quad camera cover. See Quad Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  2. For AP3 Vehicles: Remove the bolt that attaches the rear view mirror to the windshield mount, and then carefully release the mirror from the windshield.

    CAUTION
    Do not yet completely remove the mirror, as an electrical harness is still attached.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Torx T20 bit
  3. For AP4 Vehicles: Grip the rear view mirror stalk, and then turn counterclockwise to release the rear view mirror.

    CAUTION
    Do not turn the rear view mirror itself.

    CAUTION
    Do not yet completely remove the mirror, as an electrical harness is still attached.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear view mirror, and then remove the mirror from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the rear view mirror.
  2. For AP3 Vehicles: Install the bolt that attaches the rear view mirror to the windshield mount.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Torx T20 bit
  3. For AP4 Vehicles: Grip the rear view mirror stalk, and then turn clockwise to install the rear view mirror.

  4. Install the lower quad camera cover. See Quad Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
