Harness - 12V Battery Ground (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Disconnect the LV battery power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the nut that attaches the front harness assembly to the 12V battery ground.

  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the 12V battery ground to the body.

  5. Remove the 12V battery ground.

    Note
    Remove the electrical tape from the harness.

Install

  1. Install the 12V battery ground.

    Note
    Use electrical tape to wrap the 12V battery ground and the front harness assembly together.
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the 12V battery ground to the body.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the nut that attaches the front harness assembly to the 12V battery ground.
    8.5 Nm (6.3 lbs-ft)

  4. Connect the LV battery power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
