Pretensioner - Outboard Lap - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Warning
Make sure 12V/LV power has been disconnected for at least 1 minute before disconnecting the electrical harness from Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components, such as Restraint Control Module, sensors, airbags, etc. Failure to do so can result in unintended safety system behaviors. Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Move the LH front seat to the foremost position and raise the seat fully.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the driver seat outboard side shield. See Side Shield - Outboard - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the electrical connector from the pretensioner.

Remove the bolt that
attaches the pretensioner to the seat track.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T50 socket
- 3/8 in std ratchet
- 3/8 in torque wrench (installation only)
- 3 in extension
NoteThe bolt is attached to the pretensioner with a metal clip. The pretensioner and bolt must be replaced as an assembly. - Remove the 1st row outboard lap pretensioner from the seat track.
Install

Install the new pretensioner
and bolt assembly to the seat track, and then tighten the bolt that attaches
the pretensioner to the seat track.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T50 socket
- 3/8 in std ratchet
- 3/8 in torque wrench (installation only)
- 3 in extension
NoteAlign the pretensioner guide pin to the seat track. - Connect the pretensioner electrical connector.
- Install the driver seat outboard side shield. See Side Shield - Outboard - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
- Reconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
