Remove
- Open the liftgate and the LH rear door.

Position inflatable airbag between the rear headliner and the roof glass to
access the power strut connector.
NoteApply tape to the headliner as needed.

Disconnect the liftgate
power strut connector.

Release the tabs that attach
the electrical harness grommet to the body, and then release the grommet
from the body.
- Support the liftgate with a prop.

Release the lower liftgate
power strut ball stud that is attached to the vehicle.

Release the upper liftgate
power strut ball stud that is attached to the liftgate, and then remove the
strut from the vehicle.
Install
-
Clip the upper liftgate power strut ball stud to the liftgate.

Clip the lower liftgate power strut ball stud to the vehicle.

Route the electrical harness through the body, and then secure the
grommet.

Connect the liftgate power strut connector.

Remove the inflatable airbag from between the rear headliner and the roof
glass.
- Close the liftgate and the LH rear door.
