Switch - Window - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open LH rear door and fully lower the LH rear window.
  2. Release the clip that attaches the screw cover to the middle of the LH rear door armrest, and then remove the screw cover from the armrest.
  3. Remove the screw at the middle of the LH rear door armrest.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
    • ¼ in std ratchet
    • 2 in extension
    • ¼ in torque wrench (installation only)
  4. Release the tabs that attach the LH rear window switch to the door trim, and the separate the switch from the trim.
  5. Disconnect the LH rear window switch electrical connector, and then remove the switch from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Release the harness from the new LH rear window switch.
  2. Connect the LH rear window switch electrical connector.
  3. Install the LH rear window switch to the door trim.
  4. Install the screw at the middle of the LH rear door armrest.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
    • ¼ in std ratchet
    • 2 in extension
    • ¼ in torque wrench (installation only)
  5. Install the screw cover at the middle of the LH rear door armrest.
  6. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
