Speaker - Pedestrian Warning (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the RH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the RH front fender garnish. See Garnish - Fender - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the clips (x8) that attach the front portion of the RH front wheel arch liners to the vehicle, and then move the wheel arch liner aside to perform the following steps.
  4. Release the clip that attaches the electrical harness to the pedestrian warning speaker assembly.
  5. Slide the locking tab away from the connector, and then press down on the locking tab to disconnect the connector from the pedestrian warning speaker assembly.
  6. Remove the screws that attach the pedestrian warning speaker assembly to the front fascia, and then remove the speaker from the fascia.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx Plus IP25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet / flex head torque wrench
    • 2 in extension

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
