Door - Front - LH (Remove and Install)

  • 2025-10-27: Added the LV power disconnect step and removed the window calibration routine based on the latest validation.

Remove

  1. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  2. Remove the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the J7 door wiring harness connectors at the LH body controller module.
  5. Release the grommet, and then push the door wiring harness through the A-pillar bulkhead.
  6. Remove the LH front door check strap fastener.
  7. Loosen the bolts or nuts that attach the upper and lower hinges to the LH front door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)
    27 Nm (19.9 lbs-ft)

  8. With assistance, fully remove the bolts that attach the LH front door to the upper and lower hinges, and then remove the door assembly from the vehicle.

    Note
    Remove the bolt from the lower hinge first, and then remove the bolt from the upper hinge.

Install

  1. With assistance, position the LH front door assembly onto the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts or nuts that attach the upper and lower hinges to the LH front door.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)
    27 Nm (19.9 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the LH front door check strap fastener to body.
    24 Nm (17.7 lbs-ft)
  4. Feed the harness through the door assembly into the cabin, and then install the grommet to the body.
  5. Connect the J7 door wiring harness connector at the LH body controller module.
  6. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  9. Check the LH front door alignment, and adjust as necessary. See Front Door Alignment.
  10. Apply touch up paint to painted fasteners that were removed and reinstalled during this procedure.
