Seat Back - 2nd Row - RH (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Reuse

CAUTION
Bolts must be installed in the following sequence:
  1. Front Outboard
  2. Rear Inboard
  3. Rear Outboard
  4. Front Inboard

Remove

  1. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the clips that attach the main carpet to the lower seat cushion frames.
  3. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the RH 2nd row seat back frame to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
    • 6 in extension
    • 3/8 in std flex head ratchet
    • 3/8 in flex head torque wrench (installation only)
    Tip: The two frontmost bolts are behind the main carpet.
  4. Remove the 2nd row center buckle. See Buckle - 2nd Row - Center (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Carefully fold down the RH 2nd row seatback.

    CAUTION
    Place a protective covering on the seat back upholstery and take care not to damage the upholstery during removal of the seat back.

    CAUTION
    Do not place any additional weight on the seatback. Doing so may damage the seat frame alignment tabs, which can cause unevenness between the 60 and 40 seatbacks.
  6. Disconnect the electrical harness from the connector at the RH lower seat frame.
  7. With assistance, carefully remove the RH 2nd row seat back assembly from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Place the seat back assembly in an area where it will not be tipped over or otherwise damaged.

    Note
    For NA only: If the 2nd row seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, replace the seat cover. See Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - RH (Remove and Replace).

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
