Buckle - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and fully lower all the windows.
  2. Move the front seats fully forward.
  3. Move the 2nd row seats into easy entry mode.
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Remove the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  7. Release the clips that attach the 3rd row center outer B-cover to the center inner B-cover, and then remove the cover from the seat assembly.

    Note
    Release from the upper portion of the cover first, and then release the clips.
  8. Remove the clips that attach the 3rd row center inner B-cover to the seat frame assembly.
  9. Remove the screw that attaches the 3rd row center inner B-cover to the seat frame assembly.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  10. Disconnect the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle electrical connector.
  11. Release the clip that attaches the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle electrical connector to the seat frame assembly.
  12. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle from the seat frame assembly, and then remove the buckle from the assembly.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle onto the seat frame assembly, and then install the bolt.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  2. Fasten the clip that attaches the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle electrical connector to the seat frame assembly.
  3. Connect the LH 3rd row seat belt buckle electrical connector.
  4. Install the clips that attach the 3rd row center inner B-cover to the seat frame assembly.
  5. Install the screw that attaches the 3rd row center inner B-cover to the seat frame assembly.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 4 in extension
  6. Position the 3rd row center outer B-cover onto the center inner B-cover, and then install the clips that attach the outer cover to the inner cover.

    Note
    Install the clips first, and then secure the upper portion of the cover.
  7. Install the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  8. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  9. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  10. Move the 2nd row seats to the original position.
  11. Move the front seats to the original position.
  12. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
