Hinge - Door - Front - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door.
- Lower the LH front window.

Use a jack to support the LH front door from the bottom.
NoteMake sure to use soft material to protect the door paint.
- Apply masking tape to the area surrounding the LH front door lower hinge on the body and door to aid in alignment during installation.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH front door lower hinge to the body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13mm combination wrench

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
front door lower hinge to the door.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13mm combination wrench
- Carefully remove the LH front door lower hinge from the vehicle.
Install
- Install the new LH front lower hinge.

Hand-tighten the bolt that attaches
the LH front door lower hinge to the door.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13mm combination wrench

Hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front door lower hinge to the
body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13mm combination wrench

Close the LH front door and check for gap and flushness. Adjust as necessary.

Tighten the bolt that attaches the LH
front door lower hinge to the door.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front door lower hinge to the body.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Remove the masking tape that surrounds the LH front door lower hinge on the body and door.

Remove the support from the LH front
door.

Apply touch up paint to the LH front lower door hinge bolts as needed.
NoteMake sure to shake touch up paint before applying, and wait at least 20 minutes to allow the 1st coat to completely dry before applying the 2nd coat (if necessary).
- Raise the LH front window.
- Close the LH front door.
