Subwoofer (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and fully lower all the windows.
  2. Move the driver seat fully forward.
  3. Remove the 2nd row lower cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the front trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Front (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the RH trunk side trim. See GUID-35FA45BB-B84E-4601-B653-83C904936B5D.html.
  9. Remove the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the nuts and bolt that attach the amplifier to the body, and then carefully set the amplifier aside.
    NaN Nm (NaN lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension
  11. Disconnect the subwoofer electrical connector.
  12. Remove the nut and bolts that attach the subwoofer to the vehicle, and then remove the subwoofer from the vehicle.
    5.4 Nm (4.0 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • 2 in extension

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
