  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower both LH side windows
  3. Remove LH mid A-pillar assembly

  4. Remove clip securing LH lower A-pillar trim

    6x clips, 2 guide tabs, Pull rear of lower A-pillar upward to release clip then pull rearward to release trim panel
  6. Release LH front door seal from body
  7. Remove clip securing LH front cabin carpet to body

  8. Pull LH front cabin carpet away from A-pillar to access LH front seat connector
  9. Move LH front seat forward
  10. Release LH front seat belt retractor from pretensioner

    Insert seat belt tool into the bottom of the retractor to release
  11. Open LH rear door
  12. Remove LH front seat rear rail covers

  13. Remove LH front seat rear fasteners

    2x patch bolts, TP45, 33.5 Nm, Discard after removal
  14. Move LH front seat backward

    Ensure profile is saved to allow seat position to be restored
  15. Remove LH front seat front rail covers

  16. Remove LH front seat front fasteners

    2x patch bolts, TP45, 33.5 Nm, Discard after removal
  17. Adjust position of LH front seat for easy removal

    Move seat to middle of track at most upright position
  18. Open the hood.
  19. Remove the rear apron.
  20. Remove HEPA filter assembly

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot rearward edge up and past brake reservoir, Then lift up to clear frunk assembly
  21. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.
  22. Disconnect LV battery and First Responder Loop

    2x connectors, Release green locking tab, Press black tab then pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
  23. Disconnect LH front seat harness from VC left

    1x electrical connector, Release the lock by squeezing the release tab, Then fully disengage the lock by moving it away from the VC left, Do not force the connector, If the connector does not easily release from the VC the lock is still engaged
  24. Release seat harness clips

    3x clips, after releasing clips remove from harness and keep for installation step
  25. Tilt seat back

    Rest the seat against the 2nd row bench
  26. Remove seat harness from clips

    2x clips, without removing clips cut and remove zip ties to release harness
  27. Remove LH front seat from vehicle

    Recommend assistance, Assistant should be ready to support seat back, Caution not to damage any trim
  28. Remove screw securing outer side cover to seat

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm, Ensure the front of the seat is high enough to access the T20 screw
  29. Release outer side cover clip from seat, but do not remove

    1x clip, Do not fully remove, possible damage to the trim/switch pack/harness
  30. Disconnect seat switch connector

  31. Slide outer cover rearward to release clip from frame and lift up over pretensioner to remove

  32. Remove inner side shield from seat

    3x clips, Release side clip from seat bottom frame, then pull up on rear of trim to remove
  33. Rotate seat to gain access to underside of the seat

  34. Unhook straps for lower section of seat back and move seat back flap away from underside of seat

  35. Disconnect the seat cushion heat pad

    Slide upward to release from trim
  39. Disconnect the seat occupied sensor

    Lift the cushion straight off, Ensure the heating pad and seat occupied sensor harnesses are clear of the seat frame
  46. Release strap securing trim to foam

    Cut 5x hog rings , from the front side and 3x hog rings from back side .
  48. Apply occupancy sensor on lower cushion foam

    Remove the backing of the tape , Align the occupancy sensor and apply it in the reset section
  49. Apply heat pad on lower cushion foam

  50. Install cushion trim on cushion foam

    Align the trim on the cushion and install 5x hog rings in the front side and 3x hog rings in the rear side and attach the Velcro tape .
  51. Strap seat cushion trim to foam pad

  52. Place the cushion pad assembly onto seat cushion frame for installation

    Insert the rear of the seat cushion to seat bottom frame, ensure rear portion of foam is seated over rear seat cushion rail, Ensure wiring harness are routed through the back of seat frame
  53. Install the outboard seat trim retaining clip onto the seat frame

    1x clip strip, Fold the clip over towards the frame, The open end should engage the seat frame, if not the trim will need to be pulled until the correct amount of tension is achieved, Line up one end of the clip strip opening with the seat frame and press down until the clip is fully seated onto the frame
  54. Install the inboard seat trim retaining clip onto the seat frame

  55. Install the front seat trim retaining clip onto the seat frame

  56. Install the seat cushion retaining clips onto the seat suspension

  57. Install seat cushion heating pad connector onto cushion suspension

  64. Rotate the seat to normal upright position
  65. Install inner side shield cover onto RH front seat

    3x clips, Engage the clips at the rear of the trim by sliding the side shield forward into position and installing the forward retaining clip
  66. Slide outer cover forward to engage clip into the frame and lift up over pretensioner to install

  83. Reseat LH front door seal along lower A-pillar trim
  84. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated
  85. Install HEPA filter assembly

    2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Rework requires new bolts

  89. Install LH front seat front fasteners

    Slide the linkage onto the pretensioner cable, an audible click will be heard. Verify there are no twists in the webbing from the upper trim to the pretensioner. Perform a firm pull test to confirm pretensioner is engaged
