Remove
- Remove the front LH door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Install).

Temporarily connect the puddle lamp to the LH front door harness.
CAUTIONRoute the electrical cable so that it will not be damaged when closing the door.
- Connect the window switch special tool.

Latch the LH front door to
fully raise the window.
CAUTIONDo not close the door with the window fully raised, as upper bright trim will be damaged.
- Raise the LH front window fully by accessing the window switch tool through the LH rear door.
- Remove the front door speaker. See Speaker - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolt that
attaches the LH front door check strap to the A-pillar.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T40 socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
CAUTIONUnbolting the door check allows the door to swing freely beyond opening limits. -
Remove the nuts (x2) that
attach the check strap to the door.
- 10 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Remove the check strap from the vehicle.
Install
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
